Anti-claveleux cellulaire lyophilisé is a live attenuated veterinary vaccine developed and manufactured by the Pasteur Institute of Algeria for the prevention of sheep pox, also known as Clavelée. The vaccine is based on the RM 65 viral strain, which has been attenuated through serial passages in cell culture, specifically using lamb fetal kidney cells (Rein de Fœtus d'Agneau). It is presented in a lyophilized (freeze-dried) form to maintain potency and stability. Upon administration, the vaccine stimulates the animal's immune system to produce a protective response against the Sheep pox virus (SPPV), a highly contagious and economically significant pathogen in the Capripoxvirus genus.
