Overview

anti-CLL-1 CAR-T cells are a type of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy designed to treat acute myeloid leukemia (AML). These engineered T cells target C-type lectin-like molecule-1 (CLL-1), also known as CLEC12A or CD371, an antigen frequently expressed on AML cells but largely absent on normal hematopoietic stem cells. The CAR-T cells are genetically modified to express a CAR that recognizes and binds to CLL-1 on cancer cells, leading to their destruction. This therapy involves collecting a patient's T cells, genetically modifying them in vitro, expanding them, and then infusing them back into the patient.
