Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This therapeutic program, developed by Autoimmune Technologies through its subsidiary Stadius Biopharma, consists of a panel of fully human monoclonal antibodies designed for the prevention and treatment of cytomegalovirus (CMV) infections. The antibodies target conserved sequences of novel CMV virulence factors to neutralize the virus, specifically addressing the needs of immunocompromised patients, such as solid organ and bone marrow transplant recipients. A distinctive feature of the program is the development of a delivery platform utilizing non-viral gene-modified allogeneic adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (ADMSCs) for sustained in vivo antibody production, which aims to provide long-term protection in chronically immunocompromised individuals.
