Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Anti-COVID-19 human immunoglobulin (Lifefactors) is a biologic passive immunotherapy developed by the Colombian pharmaceutical company Lifefactors Zona Franca, SAS. It is an intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) product derived from human plasma containing high titers of neutralizing antibodies (IgG) against SARS-CoV-2. The product is designed to provide immediate immune protection to hospitalized patients with early-stage COVID-19 by neutralizing the virus and potentially modulating the inflammatory response. It has been evaluated in a Phase 2/3 clinical trial in Colombia, comparing its efficacy and safety to convalescent plasma and standard of care in hospitalized patients.
