Overview

anti-CSF1R CAR T cells are an investigational chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy engineered to target the colony-stimulating factor 1 receptor (CSF1R). CSF1R is a tyrosine kinase receptor highly expressed on monocytic cells, including acute myeloid leukemia (AML) blasts and immunosuppressive tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) within the tumor microenvironment. By targeting CSF1R, these CAR T cells aim to directly eliminate malignant cells and potentially reprogram the immune-suppressive landscape of the tumor. While often utilized as a benchmark or positive control in the development of modular adaptor CAR-T platforms, anti-CSF1R CAR T cells represent a specific therapeutic strategy for treating myeloid malignancies and other CSF1R-expressing cancers.
