Overview

The anti-CXCL1 antibody, specifically the research compound HL2401, is a monoclonal antibody biologic designed to target C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 1 (CXCL1), also known as GRO-alpha. CXCL1 is a chemokine that activates the CXCR1 and CXCR2 receptors, playing a pivotal role in neutrophil recruitment, angiogenesis, and inflammatory signaling. In preclinical oncology research, HL2401 has demonstrated anti-tumor activity in bladder and prostate cancer models by inhibiting cellular proliferation and angiogenesis and inducing apoptosis through the disruption of the CXCL1–IL6–TIMP4 signaling axis. Beyond oncology, neutralizing CXCL1 antibodies have been investigated in preclinical models of metabolic gut inflammation, such as Crohn's disease, where they have shown potential in ameliorating neutrophil infiltration and mucosal inflammation. HL2401 is currently a research-stage compound with no identified commercial developer.
