Overview

The anti-CXCL16 antibody (such as Cellus's lead candidate CLS-A1 / CLS-A-101) is a monoclonal antibody designed to target and neutralize C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 16 (CXCL16). CXCL16 is a chemokine highly expressed in the tumor microenvironment (TME) of various cancers, including triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), thyroid cancer, and prostate cancer, where it is secreted by tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) and promotes tumor growth, metastasis, and immunosuppression. By blocking the interaction between CXCL16 and its receptor CXCR6, the antibody inhibits tumor progression, regulates macrophage polarization, and enhances CD8+ T cell infiltration, thereby reversing immunotherapy resistance.
