Overview
Anti-CXCL8 IgG refers to a monoclonal antibody of the immunoglobulin G (IgG) class that specifically targets and neutralizes C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 8 (CXCL8), also known as Interleukin-8 (IL-8). CXCL8 is a pro-inflammatory chemokine that plays a critical role in neutrophil recruitment, angiogenesis, and the progression of various malignancies. In the context of pancreatic carcinoma, CXCL8 can function as an autocrine growth factor, promoting tumor cell proliferation and survival. Neutralizing antibodies like anti-CXCL8 IgG are used in research to inhibit these pathways and have been explored as potential therapeutic agents to suppress tumor growth and inflammatory responses by preventing CXCL8 from binding to its receptors, CXCR1 and CXCR2.
