Anti-DCD polyclonal antibody is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody targeting dermcidin (DCD), a protein localized at 12q13.1 that functions as a tumor growth and cell survival factor in certain cancers. Dermcidin is typically produced by eccrine sweat glands and processed into antimicrobial peptides, but it has been identified as a candidate oncogene in melanoma and other skin cancers. In preclinical models, the administration of this antibody has demonstrated the ability to delay tumor growth in human melanoma G361 xenografts, suggesting that neutralizing DCD can inhibit oncogenic stimuli and reduce cellular resistance to cytotoxic agents.
