anti-DCLK1 siRNA is a small interfering RNA (siRNA) designed to target and silence the expression of Doublecortin-like Kinase 1 (DCLK1), a microtubule-associated protein and a well-characterized tumor stem cell (TSC) marker. DCLK1 is overexpressed in various cancers, including pancreatic, colorectal, breast, renal, and liver cancers, where it regulates key oncogenic pathways, pluripotency factors, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) promoting metastasis and drug resistance. Silencing DCLK1 via siRNA-mediated knockdown inhibits tumor cell self-renewal, migration, invasion, and tumor growth, while sensitizing cancer cells to chemotherapy and targeted therapies. Preclinical development of DCLK1-targeting siRNA therapeutics, such as nanoparticle-formulated delivery systems, has been pursued by COARE Biotechnology in collaboration with academic institutions.
