Drug intelligence / Profile preview
anti-Enterobacter aerogenes VHH is a single-domain variable region (VHH) camelid antibody (nanobody) being developed as a potential therapeutic and diagnostic agent against *Enterobacter aerogenes* infections [1]. Generated from a naïve dromedary camel blood library and screened using phage display, these nanobodies target *E. aerogenes* ATCC 13048 [1]. The candidates exhibit a small molecular weight (~13 kDa), high solubility, stable physicochemical profiles, and adopt a classical camelid VHH fold with intact framework β-sheets and fully exposed CDR loops [1]. They are being investigated for their protective efficacy against various *E. aerogenes* strains and their utility in diagnostic assays [1].
