**Anti-EphA2 antibody + IR700** is a targeted drug conjugate used in cancer photoimmunotherapy consisting of a monoclonal antibody against the EphA2 receptor conjugated with the near-infrared (NIR) phthalocyanine dye IRDye 700DX (IR700). The conjugate binds specifically to EphA2-expressing tumor cells; upon NIR light irradiation at 690 nm, the IR700 dye is activated, inducing rapid, localized cytotoxicity toward antibody-bound cells. This modality allows selective cancer cell killing with minimal effects on surrounding tissues. Anti-EphA2-IR700 has demonstrated in vitro and in vivo anti-tumor activity in preclinical cancer models, including colorectal cancer. Its mechanism is highly dependent on both conjugate binding and applied NIR light; systemic administration without illumination does not result in cytotoxicity[1].
