Overview

Anti-EX02 CAR T cells are an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy developed by Zeno Therapeutics. This investigational therapy involves engineering a patient's own T lymphocytes to express a synthetic receptor (CAR) that targets the EX02 antigen, which is associated with certain solid tumors and hematologic malignancies. The modified T cells are expanded ex vivo and reinfused into the patient to mediate targeted immunologic cytotoxicity against tumor cells expressing the EX02 antigen. The primary mechanism of action is direct killing of cancer cells via recognition and engagement of the target antigen by engineered CARs on patient-derived cytotoxic T lymphocytes. Anti-EX02 CAR-T is being studied for use in relapsed/refractory acute myeloid leukemia as well as advanced pancreatic and bile duct cancers[1][2][3].
