Drug intelligence / Profile preview
anti-FcRL5 refers to monoclonal antibodies or therapeutic agents targeting Fc receptor-like 5 (FcRL5, also known as FcRH5, CD307e, or IRTA2). FcRL5 is a cell surface receptor expressed predominantly on B-lineage cells, including mature B cells and plasma cells, and is often overexpressed in multiple myeloma and other B-cell malignancies. In the context of oncology, anti-FcRL5 antibodies are being investigated as antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), bispecific antibodies (such as cevostamab), and chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapies to selectively target and eliminate malignant B cells. Additionally, preclinical research suggests that FcRL5 acts as an inhibitory receptor on memory B cells, and blocking FcRL5 can restore B-cell proliferative capacity and enhance antitumor immunity in solid tumors.
