Drug intelligence / Profile preview
anti-FOXP3 ASO (also known as FOXP3 AUMsilence ASO) is a preclinical-stage self-delivering antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) developed by AUM LifeTech in collaboration with the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. It utilizes AUM LifeTech's proprietary FANA (2'-deoxy-2'-fluoro-beta-D-arabinose) RNA silencing technology to selectively target and downregulate FOXP3 (forkhead box P3) mRNA. FOXP3 is a key transcription factor essential for the development and immunosuppressive function of regulatory T cells (Tregs). By silencing FOXP3, the ASO inhibits Treg-mediated immunosuppression within the tumor microenvironment, thereby enhancing anti-tumor immunity. The therapeutic is being developed as a non-viral cancer immunotherapy for the treatment of solid tumors, including lung cancer, mesothelioma, and melanoma.
