Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The anti-FSTL1 monoclonal antibody is an investigational biologic therapeutic developed by Pharma Foods International using its proprietary ALAgenе® antibody technology platform. It specifically targets Follistatin-like 1 (FSTL1), an extracellular glycoprotein that is often upregulated in the tumor microenvironment and involved in immune dysfunction and cancer progression. The antibody functions by blocking the FSTL1-DIP2A axis, which has been shown in preclinical models to enhance anti-tumor immunity and suppress cancer metastasis. Research indicates potential efficacy across various malignancies, including osteosarcoma and lung cancer, particularly in tumor models with increased mesenchymal stromal/stem cells (MSCs).
