anti-GD2 CAR-T therapy is an investigational chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy being developed by Beijing Sinobioway Bioengineering Group. This cell-based immunotherapy involves the genetic modification of a patient's own T cells to express a CAR specifically designed to recognize and bind to the disialoganglioside GD2. GD2 is a surface antigen that is highly and consistently expressed on various tumors of neuroectodermal origin, including neuroblastoma, osteosarcoma, and melanoma, while having limited expression in normal tissues. Upon binding to GD2-expressing cancer cells, the CAR-T cells are activated, leading to direct tumor cell lysis and the induction of a broader immune response. This therapy is primarily targeted toward the treatment of GD2-positive solid tumors and potentially certain hematological malignancies.
