Anti-GPC3-IRDye800CW is a fluorescence imaging agent and immunoconjugate composed of an antibody targeting glypican 3 (GPC3) conjugated to the near-infrared fluorescent dye IRDye800CW. The antibody component specifically binds to GPC3, a cell surface proteoglycan highly expressed in certain cancers such as hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), but not in normal tissues. Upon administration, the conjugate accumulates in GPC3-expressing tumor cells, enabling their visualization using near-infrared fluorescence imaging techniques. This agent is primarily developed for intraoperative tumor detection and surgical guidance by highlighting malignant tissue during surgery[1]. The mechanism of action involves specific binding to GPC3 on cancer cells and subsequent fluorescent labeling for real-time imaging.
