Anti-Grem1 neutralizing antibody is a pharmaceutical drug designed to inhibit the activity of Gremlin1 (Grem1), a protein abundantly secreted by bone marrow mesenchymal stromal cells. Grem1 plays a critical role in the development and progression of multiple myeloma (MM) by promoting the proliferation of MM plasma cells. By neutralizing Grem1, this antibody aims to disrupt the positive feedback loop between MM plasma cells and the bone marrow stroma, thereby reducing tumor burden. Preclinical studies in mouse models of multiple myeloma have shown that treatment with an anti-Grem1 neutralizing antibody can significantly decrease tumor burden.
