Overview
Anti-hepatitis B immune RNA is a biological immunomodulator developed and manufactured by Wuhan Hualong Biopharmaceutical for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B. It belongs to a class of agents known as immune RNAs (i-RNA), which are typically extracted from the lymphoid tissues (such as the spleen or lymph nodes) of animals, such as sheep or calves, that have been hyper-immunized with the hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg). The product is designed to transfer specific cellular immunity from the donor to the recipient's T-lymphocytes, thereby enhancing the host's ability to recognize and eliminate the hepatitis B virus (HBV). It is primarily utilized as an adjunctive therapy for chronic hepatitis B to improve viral clearance rates and support liver function recovery. In China, it is an approved biological product used in clinical practice for managing HBV infections.
