Anti-HER2 CAR-T (Zhi Yang) is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy designed to target cells expressing the Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2). Developed by investigator Zhi Yang, the therapy involves the genetic modification of a patient's own T cells to express a chimeric receptor that recognizes the HER2 antigen, a protein frequently overexpressed in various solid tumors. Upon infusion, these engineered T cells are intended to identify and eliminate HER2-positive malignant cells. The therapy is currently being evaluated in Phase 1/2 clinical trials for a broad range of HER2-positive refractory solid tumors, including breast cancer, gastric cancer, glioma, and pancreatic cancer, with a focus on assessing safety, cytokine release syndrome (CRS) risk, and long-term cellular persistence.
