Anti-HER2 CAR-T Cell Injection is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy currently under clinical investigation for the treatment of HER2-positive advanced malignant solid tumors. The production process involves collecting a patient's own T cells and genetically modifying them to express a CAR that specifically recognizes the Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2), a protein frequently overexpressed in various cancers such as breast, gastric, and lung carcinomas. Prior to the infusion of the engineered cells, patients typically undergo a lymphodepleting conditioning chemotherapy regimen to enhance the persistence and expansion of the CAR-T cells. Once administered, the CAR-T cells target and bind to HER2 on the surface of malignant cells, triggering an immune response that leads to tumor cell lysis. This therapy is being evaluated in Phase 1 trials to determine its safety profile and preliminary anti-tumor activity in patients who have exhausted standard treatment options.
