Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Anti-HRV Oral Vaccine** is a preclinical oral rotavirus vaccine being developed by CHAIN Biotech in collaboration with the University of Oxford for prevention of human rotavirus infection. The candidate uses CHAIN Biotech's CADD platform, an engineered non-pathogenic *Clostridium butyricum* live bacterial spore and vector system designed for oral delivery to the lower gastrointestinal tract. It expresses or delivers human rotavirus antigens to induce protective mucosal and systemic immune responses, with a stated development goal of improving vaccine performance in malnourished and low-income populations where conventional rotavirus vaccine efficacy may be reduced.
