Anti-human CD7 CAR-NK cell is an investigational allogeneic cell therapy consisting of natural killer (NK) cells genetically engineered to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) targeting the CD7 antigen. CD7 is a transmembrane glycoprotein primarily expressed on the surface of T-cells and NK cells, and it is frequently overexpressed in T-cell-derived hematological malignancies such as T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) and T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (T-LBL). By utilizing NK cells instead of T-cells, this therapy aims to provide a safer profile with a lower risk of graft-versus-host disease (GvHD) and cytokine release syndrome (CRS), while also enabling potential "off-the-shelf" availability. The therapy is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials (notably NCT07117175) to assess its safety, tolerability, and efficacy in patients with relapsed or refractory CD7-positive hematological malignancies.
