Overview

This anti-human interferon alpha monoclonal antibody is an investigational therapeutic candidate being developed by Anke (AnkeBio). Currently in the preclinical stage, the antibody is designed to target and neutralize human interferon-alpha (IFN-α), a type I interferon that plays a pivotal role in the innate immune response. Overproduction or dysregulation of IFN-α is a hallmark of several autoimmune conditions, most notably systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). By binding to IFN-α and preventing its interaction with its receptor, this monoclonal antibody aims to modulate the inflammatory signaling pathways that drive disease progression in interferon-mediated pathologies.
