Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Anti-IL-7 neutralizing monoclonal antibodies are biologic agents designed to bind to and neutralize interleukin-7 (IL-7), a cytokine critical for T-cell development, survival, and homeostatic proliferation. By blocking the interaction between IL-7 and its receptor (IL-7R), these antibodies inhibit downstream signaling pathways (such as JAK-STAT and PI3K-Akt), thereby suppressing T-cell-mediated immune responses. In preclinical research, anti-IL-7 neutralizing antibodies are widely used to study T-cell homeostasis, lymphopoiesis, and the role of IL-7 in autoimmune diseases, chronic inflammation, and cancer-associated bone resorption.
