Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RenBio's anti-influenza antibody cocktail is a preclinical-stage DNA-based therapeutic designed for the prevention of influenza. Utilizing the proprietary MYO (Make Your Own) Technology platform, the treatment involves the intramuscular delivery of plasmid DNA encoding specific antibodies via electroporation. Once delivered, muscle cells act as bioreactors, continuously producing and secreting therapeutic antibodies into the bloodstream for several months. This approach aims to provide broad and long-lasting protection against both seasonal and highly pathogenic influenza strains, potentially offering a more durable alternative to traditional protein-based antibody therapies or seasonal vaccines.
