Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Anti-influenza immune plasma is a blood product containing high levels of antibodies against influenza viruses. It is derived from donors who have high antibody titers to influenza, typically measured by hemagglutination inhibition (HAI) antibody titers. This therapeutic approach has been investigated as a potential treatment for severe influenza infections, particularly for hospitalized patients with influenza A or B. The plasma is administered intravenously and is intended to provide passive immunity to help combat the viral infection.
