Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Anti-LAG3 mAb is a preclinical-stage monoclonal antibody developed by Protheragen for the treatment of cancer. It targets the Lymphocyte-activation gene 3 (LAG-3), an immune checkpoint receptor that negatively regulates T cell activation and proliferation. By binding to LAG-3 and blocking its interaction with MHC class II molecules, the antibody aims to alleviate T cell exhaustion and enhance anti-tumor immune responses. This mechanism is often explored in combination with other checkpoint inhibitors, such as anti-PD-1/PD-L1 therapies, to overcome resistance in various malignancies.
