Overview

The anti-LASEP1 monoclonal antibody is a therapeutic agent designed to target lung cancer-associated serum protein 1 (LASEP1), a secreted protein frequently overexpressed in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and small cell lung cancer (SCLC). LASEP1 acts as a growth factor that interacts with its receptor, LASEPR, on the surface of lung cancer cells, promoting tumor growth and mobility through an autocrine mechanism. By binding to and neutralizing LASEP1, this monoclonal antibody inhibits the LASEP1-LASEPR interaction, thereby suppressing cancer cell proliferation. Preclinical studies have demonstrated that systemic administration of the antibody significantly reduces tumor growth in mouse models without significant adverse effects.
