Anti-LeY CAR-T cells (Southwest Hospital) is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy designed to target the Lewis Y (LeY) antigen. LeY is a carbohydrate antigen, specifically a difucosylated oligosaccharide, that is overexpressed on the surface of various hematologic and solid tumors, including certain myeloid malignancies, while maintaining restricted expression in normal tissues. The therapy involves the genetic modification of a patient's own T cells to express a CAR that recognizes LeY, allowing the engineered cells to selectively bind to and eliminate LeY-expressing malignant cells. Developed by Southwest Hospital in China, this cell therapy is primarily being investigated for the treatment of relapsed or refractory myeloid malignancies, such as acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
