Overview

Anti-LILRB2 CAR-T cells are an investigational chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy designed to target the Leukocyte Immunoglobulin-Like Receptor B2 (LILRB2), also known as ILT4 or CD85d. LILRB2 is an inhibitory receptor primarily expressed on myeloid cells, including myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) and certain leukemic blasts in acute myeloid leukemia (AML), where it plays a role in immune evasion and the maintenance of an immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. By engineering autologous T cells to express a CAR specific for LILRB2, the therapy aims to selectively identify and eliminate LILRB2-expressing malignant cells. This approach is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials by The Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University for the treatment of patients with relapsed or refractory AML who are not candidates for allogeneic stem cell transplantation.
