Anti-LILRB4 CAR T cells are an investigational autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy targeting the Leukocyte Immunoglobulin-Like Receptor B4 (LILRB4), an inhibitory receptor highly expressed on the surface of monocytic acute myeloid leukemia (AML) cells. LILRB4, also known as ILT3 or CD300e, is associated with immune evasion and poor prognosis in AML. By targeting LILRB4, these engineered T cells aim to selectively identify and eliminate malignant myeloid blasts while potentially overcoming the immunosuppressive microenvironment. The therapy is being evaluated in clinical trials, notably by the Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University, for the treatment of relapsed or refractory AML.
