Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Anti-MICA x CD3 is a preclinical-stage bispecific T-cell engager (BiTE) being developed by Aakha Biologics for the treatment of solid tumors. The antibody is designed to simultaneously bind to major histocompatibility complex class I-related chain A (MICA) on tumor cells and CD3 on T cells. By bridging these two targets, the drug redirects T-cell-mediated cytotoxicity specifically against MICA-expressing tumor cells, promoting tumor cell lysis and overcoming tumor immune evasion mechanisms such as MICA shedding.
