Overview

Anti-mouse CTLA-4 mAb (anti-mCTLA-4 mAb) refers to a class of research-grade monoclonal antibodies specifically designed to target murine cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 (CTLA-4, also known as CD152). CTLA-4 is a critical immune checkpoint receptor expressed on activated T cells that provides inhibitory signals to regulate immune responses. These antibodies are used exclusively in preclinical in vivo research to block CTLA-4-mediated suppression, thereby unleashing the immune system to attack tumors. Common clones used in research include 9D9, 9H10, and UC10-4F10-11. These reagents are essential tools in cancer immunology for studying the efficacy of checkpoint blockade, often in combination with other therapies like anti-PD-1 or oncolytic viruses, across various murine cancer models including melanoma and colon carcinoma. They are not intended for human or veterinary therapeutic use.
