Overview

Anti-mouse PD-1 antibody mAb 29F.1A12 is a rat-derived IgG2a kappa monoclonal antibody that specifically targets murine Programmed Death-1 (PD-1, also known as CD279). PD-1 is an inhibitory cell surface receptor expressed on T cells, B cells, and myeloid cells that plays a critical role in regulating immune responses and maintaining self-tolerance. The 29F.1A12 clone functions as an immune checkpoint inhibitor by blocking the binding of PD-1 to its ligands, PD-L1 and PD-L2, thereby preventing the downregulation of T-cell activation. This antibody is a widely used research-use-only (RUO) tool in preclinical oncology and immunology, particularly in syngeneic mouse tumor models such as CT26 colon carcinoma, melanoma, and pancreatic cancer, to study the mechanisms of checkpoint blockade and evaluate novel therapeutic combinations. It is not approved for clinical or therapeutic use in humans.
