Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a mouse surrogate monoclonal antibody designed to target and neutralize murine tumor necrosis factor-like ligand 1A (TL1A). Developed for use in preclinical research, it serves as a tool to evaluate the therapeutic potential of TL1A inhibition in animal models of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), such as the anti-CD40-induced colitis model. TL1A is a cytokine in the TNF superfamily that signals through the death receptor 3 (DR3) to promote Th1 and Th17 immune responses and tissue fibrosis. By blocking this pathway, the antibody reduces intestinal inflammation and weight loss in experimental models. This surrogate is utilized by Spyre Therapeutics to provide proof-of-concept data for their humanized TL1A-targeting programs, including the combination therapy SPY230.
