Anti-mPD1 mimotope IgG is a preclinical rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody generated by immunizing rabbits with a B-cell mimotope of mouse programmed cell death protein 1 (mPD-1). Developed by the Medical University of Vienna in collaboration with Imugene, this antibody was designed as a proof-of-concept therapeutic to evaluate the in vivo anti-tumor efficacy of active immunization targeting PD-1. In preclinical studies, anti-mPD1 mimotope IgG successfully blocked the interaction between mPD-1 and its ligand mPD-L1, leading to significant tumor growth reduction in syngeneic mouse models of HER2-positive breast cancer.
