Drug intelligence / Profile preview
anti-MSLN HCAb is a fully human heavy chain-only antibody (HCAb) targeting mesothelin (MSLN), developed by Nona Biosciences using the Harbour Mice® platform. Mesothelin is a cell-surface glycoprotein that is highly expressed in various malignancies, including mesothelioma, ovarian cancer, and pancreatic adenocarcinoma, while having restricted expression in normal tissues, making it a promising therapeutic target. The HCAb format is characterized by the absence of a light chain, resulting in a smaller, more stable molecule that can access novel epitopes and is well-suited for the development of multi-specific therapeutics or antibody-drug conjugates. Currently in the preclinical stage, this antibody is being evaluated for its ability to bind MSLN-expressing tumor cells and mediate anti-tumor activity through direct signaling interference or immune effector functions.
