Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Anti-murine CD123 CAR T cells are second-generation chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells engineered to target murine CD123 (mCD123), an antigen associated with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Developed by researchers at the Hannover Medical School (Medizinische Hochschule Hannover) and the Technical University of Braunschweig, these CAR T cells utilize a murine second-generation CAR backbone (termed im12328z1) containing a CD28 co-stimulatory domain, a CD3zeta signaling domain with a single functional immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motif (ITAM), and a tetracycline-inducible (Tet-on) T11 promoter. The platform is designed as a research tool to enable in vivo biological assessments and toxicity evaluations of CD123-targeted therapies within immunologically coherent, syngeneic mouse models, overcoming the limitations of humanized mouse models.
