Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Anti NME7 Monoclonal Antibody is a therapeutic antibody under preclinical development for the treatment of solid tumor cancers. It targets the onco-embryonic growth factor NME7AB, a cleaved form of the NME7 protein. NME7 is a multifunctional enzyme involved in microtubule nucleation and ciliary function. In cancer, NME7 expression is mistakenly reactivated, and its cleaved form, NME7AB, binds to the MUC1* growth factor receptor, activating the MAP kinase signaling cascade and promoting metastasis. This monoclonal antibody is designed to disrupt the interaction between NME7AB and MUC1*, thereby inhibiting tumor growth and metastasis.
