This is a combination regimen consisting of an anti-programmed cell death protein 1 (anti-PD-1) monoclonal antibody, rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone. The backbone of this regimen is R-CHOP—a standard first-line treatment for B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas such as diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), follicular lymphoma, and others[6][9]. R-CHOP combines the CD20-targeting monoclonal antibody rituximab with three cytotoxic chemotherapy agents (cyclophosphamide—an alkylating agent; doxorubicin—an anthracycline antibiotic; vincristine—a vinca alkaloid) and the corticosteroid prednisone[6][9]. The addition of an anti-PD-1 antibody introduces immune checkpoint inhibition to enhance antitumor immune responses by blocking PD-1-mediated T-cell suppression. This combination aims to leverage both direct cytotoxicity against malignant cells and immunomodulation for improved efficacy in aggressive lymphomas.
