Overview

**anti-PD-1 antibody-activated TILs-Sun Yat-sen University-colorectal cancer** refers to an experimental autologous cell therapy developed by Sun Yat-sen University. In this approach, tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) are harvested from a patient's colorectal tumor, expanded ex vivo, and specifically activated using an anti-PD-1 antibody. This activation step is designed to prevent the exhaustion of T cells by blocking the PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitory pathway, thereby enhancing their cytotoxic potential and anti-tumor activity upon re-infusion. The therapy is currently being evaluated in Phase I/II clinical trials as an adjuvant treatment following chemotherapy for participants with stage III colorectal cancer to assess safety and disease-free survival.
