Overview

Anti-PD-L1 IgG refers to immunoglobulin G (IgG) monoclonal antibodies that target programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1). PD-L1 is an immune checkpoint protein expressed on the surface of various cancer cells and antigen-presenting cells. By binding to PD-L1, these antibodies block its interaction with programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) on T cells, thereby preventing the inhibitory signaling that suppresses T-cell activation and allowing the immune system to recognize and destroy tumor cells. Several anti-PD-L1 IgG antibodies, such as atezolizumab (IgG1), durvalumab (IgG1), and avelumab (IgG1), have been approved for the treatment of various malignancies, including non-small cell lung cancer, urothelial carcinoma, and triple-negative breast cancer. Additionally, various anti-PD-L1 IgG clones are widely used as research reagents in preclinical studies and diagnostic assays.
