A combination therapy consisting of three distinct components that work through different mechanisms to target cancer cells. The anti-PD1 antibody is an immune checkpoint inhibitor that blocks the interaction between PD-1 receptor on T cells and its ligand PD-L1 on tumor cells, enhancing the immune system's ability to detect and destroy cancer cells. Nimotuzumab is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting EGFR, inhibiting receptor activation and downstream signaling pathways that drive tumor growth and survival. Capecitabine is an oral chemotherapy drug (antimetabolite) that is converted in the body to fluorouracil (5-FU), interfering with DNA and RNA synthesis in rapidly dividing cells.
