Anti-Pseudomonas aeruginosa recombinant antibodies represent a therapeutic platform of targeted monoclonal antibodies under development for the treatment of severe nosocomial infections, including sepsis and bloodstream infections. In the context of the TARAME (Targeted Antibacterial Antibody Development) pre-pilot translational study led by Erasmus MC (Universitair Medisch Centrum Rotterdam), researchers are recruiting adult patients with sepsis and positive blood cultures for *Escherichia coli* or *Pseudomonas aeruginosa*. The objective of this research is to isolate, characterize, and clone complement-activating recombinant monoclonal antibodies from these patients to develop passive immunotherapies capable of neutralizing these multi-drug resistant bacterial pathogens.
