Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The anti-PTX3 radioiodine-labeled probe is a radiolabeled molecular imaging agent developed by researchers at Xijing Hospital (Fourth Military Medical University) for the detection and evaluation of cardiovascular diseases, specifically myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury and fibrotic remodeling. The probe consists of prescreened anti-pentraxin 3 (PTX3) monoclonal antibodies or small-molecule peptides derived from antibody-binding domains, radiolabeled with iodine-124 (124I) or iodine-131 (131I). PTX3 is an inflammatory and cardiovascular biomarker that is highly and differentially expressed in injured cardiac tissue. By targeting PTX3, this probe allows for non-invasive nuclear imaging to localize and quantify myocardial injury, showing potential for integrated early screening, staged evaluation, and targeted therapy.
