Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Indian Immunologicals is developing a bi-valent human monoclonal antibody cocktail intended for rabies post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP). This biologic therapeutic modality is designed to neutralize the rabies virus by targeting the rabies glycoprotein, thereby preventing the virus from entering host cells. It is intended as a passive immunotherapy alternative to traditional rabies immunoglobulins (RIG) derived from equine or human plasma, offering a potentially safer and more scalable solution for preventing the onset of rabies following exposure.
