Drug intelligence / Profile preview
anti-SA-AF680 is an optical imaging probe consisting of a proprietary monoclonal antibody (anti-SA) conjugated to the near-infrared fluorophore Alexa Fluor 680 (AF-680). The antibody specifically targets a cell surface antigen (SA) identified on variant human mammary epithelial cells (vHMECs), which are pre-malignant cells with the potential to progress to breast cancer. Developed by researchers at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), anti-SA-AF680 is designed for the early detection of pre-malignant breast cancer cells and to distinguish aggressive basal breast cancer subtypes from luminal subtypes in vivo.
