Drug intelligence / Profile preview
anti-SARS-CoV-2 IgG is a human plasma-derived hyperimmune polyclonal immunoglobulin G (IgG) product developed by Kamada in collaboration with Kedrion Biopharma. It is manufactured using Kamada's proprietary plasma purification technology from the convalescent plasma of donors who have recovered from COVID-19. The product contains high titers of neutralizing antibodies against the SARS-CoV-2 virus, specifically targeting the spike protein and other viral antigens to neutralize the virus and prevent severe disease progression. It has been evaluated in clinical trials in Israel, including a Phase 1/2 trial and a Phase 2 randomized open-label trial comparing it to high-titer convalescent plasma in hospitalized patients with moderate to severe COVID-19.
